Ladies’ Day
On 4 December, we had again a Ladies' Day at Agribex. It was the third time Fedagrim organized this special day.
As an organisation, like many others in the sector, we feel that there is insufficient awareness and respect for all the work women do in our agriculture and horticulture sector. To remedy this (at least for a while), we are putting the ladies in the spotlight at Agribex on Thursday 04 December.
What does this entail? In fact, the activities fall into two parts:
What we did as an organisation...
With this day, Agribex officially kicked off the election of the Agribex Agro-Lady of the Year.
Introduced by a number of podcasts, each year a number of women entrepreneurs in agriculture will be elected to serve as figureheads for female entrepreneurship in our sector.
What the exhibitors did...
Our exhibitors gave free rein to their creativity and surprised our female visitors with some very nice gifts. A heart-warming initiative that is close to our hearts was also set up for the benefit of Pink Ribbon (to support the fight against breast cancer). And because such a wonderful project deserves extra support, Fedagrim, the federation behind Agribex, also contributed an extra €1,000 to Pink Ribbon.
